How often do you encounter a teaching and learning problem that feels important, but you are unsure how to address it? The SoTL Hackathon is a two-hour, case-based design challenge in which small teams work together to develop a hypothetical research project in response to a real teaching and learning problem. Each team receives a different case study, creating a rich variety of problems in the room and making the process a genuinely interesting exchange of ideas across contexts. It is a collaborative, generative experience that makes the early stages of scholarly inquiry feel accessible, social, and even a little fun. All levels of knowledge are welcome!
