Science Communication Series: Public Speaking & Storytelling

October 21, 2026 | 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM | ACLC 153 (Academic Classroom & Laboratory Complex)

The Science Communication Series is a Biggio Center program helping Auburn faculty communicate their research and expertise clearly and confidently, on campus and beyond. In this session, Public Speaking and Storytelling, Lindsay Doukopoulos and Tony Williams share practical techniques for turning complex research into compelling, memorable stories for any audience. Join us to sharpen your public speaking and storytelling skills as a scholar.

The Public Speaking and Storytelling workshop is an opportunity for participants to learn and discuss the nuances that go into becoming a more confident and engaging public speaker. This workshop also discusses the importance of weaving your own personal perspective and incorporating storytelling skills into talks to help you further connect with your chosen audience.
