Talk: Wisdom in the Rearview Mirror
Five Moments I Finally Understand Differently
As I turned 55 in February, I started looking back at the experiences and people that shaped my leadership journey. Inspired by a conversation with my dad about wisdom and maturity, I'll share five lessons that took years to fully understand: adapting to help the team succeed, leading people as individuals, saying yes before you're ready, learning from mentors, and finding purpose beyond titles. Together, we'll reflect on how our experiences continue to teach us long after they happen and what we discover when we slow down enough to listen.
