To ensure your course content continues to display correctly, it is important that the active sidebar matches the version used to create your course. You may need to upgrade pages in your course to ensure alignment.

August 13th and 14th, 2026. Biggio's Course Launch Hack-A-Thon has expanded to include a timeslot dedicated to upgrading your courses.
If the screenshots above indicate that some pages in your course need to be upgraded, use one of the resources below for step-by-step guidance.
Want to check and upgrade your courses on your own? Review the screenshots below to identify your current sidebar and if you need to upgrade elements of your course. This process should be done for all materials in each course, including pages, discussions, assignments, quizzes, syllabus, etc.

Legacy sidebar in a Legacy page. This means you need to switch to the DesignPLUS sidebar and use the Upgrade tool.

DesignPLUS sidebar defaulting to the Upgrade tool. This means you need to use the Upgrade tool on the Legacy page.

DesignPLUS sidebar in a DesignPLUS page. This means that this page is upgraded and requires no action.
